The purpose of the program is to alleviate suffering and to improve the quality of living for persons for whom curative treatment is no longer desired or appropriate. Referrals and admissions to the program are from family physician or medical specialist. The Penticton & District Palliative Care Program provides a broad range of services that include both professional and volunteer components such as: Home Care Program, Medical Symptom Management, Spiritual Care, Volunteer & Bereavement Support, Psychological Counselling, Pharmacy & Nursing Care.
