Information: The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is a community-based association with volunteers and staff working together. The Resource Centre has brochures, booklets, and information sheets on many aspects of Alzheimer Disease, other dementias, and caregiving. Information is available on community resources such as respite care, home support, adult day programs, care facilities, medical and legal services. Education & Community Relations: The ASBC offers liaison and consultation to community organizations. Presentations and displays are available on request. Individual Support: By drop-in or by appointment you can meet with staff or support volunteers who can provide support and information that may assist you in dealing with problems created by Alzheimer Disease or a dementia. We work with families to build social support networks to provide support and respite. Group Support: Support groups for individuals, families and caregivers impacted by Alzheimer Disease or a dementia meet at the following centres: Penticton: 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. (#104 - 35 Westminster Ave. E.; Early Stage Support Group & Caregivers of Early Stage Support Group (#104 - 35 Westminster Ave. E.; Osoyoos: 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1:15 p.m. at the South Okanagan Health Unit, 4816 - 89 Ave, Osoyoos; Oliver: 3rd Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m. at the Oliver Seniors Centre, 34453 - 95th Street; Keremeos: 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. at the Keremeos Health Unit, 700 - 3rd Street, Keremeos.
